Gran's Cottage is equipped to a high standard with dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge, freezer, microwave, ceramic hobs, electric oven, toaster and coffee machine. The bathroom includes a bath and in-bath electric shower. Gran's has electric storage heaters throughout, together with a wood-burner in the living room. Hairdryer and iron included.
Gran's Cottage has two bedrooms with double beds (these are attic bedrooms so the ceiling does slope but this adds to the charm of the cottage!) Beds are made up on arrival with high threadcount eqyptian cotton sheets. Large, soft bath towels, hand towels and tea towels are also provided.
Dogs are welcome in the Cottage and indeed, the enclosed garden and surrounding location is perfect for them. We do charge an additional cleaning fee of £25 for dogs and this is on the condition that they are kept downstairs, kept off of the furniture and that you bring their own beds.
Cots and high chairs
A travel cot and high chair is available at no extra cost.
TV and broadband
A TV with freeview satelite channels is in the lounge. Gran's also has free wi-fi as well as a digital radio and cd player.
Parking and garden
Gran's Cottage has private off-road parking for up to 2 cars. The garden is private and fully enclosed with a patio table and chairs.
Welcome provisions
In addition to towels and bedding, toiletries are also provided free of charge. These consist of shampoo, conditioner and soap all made locally at the exclusive Arran Aromatics. Tea, coffee and sugar is also provided, together with kitchen roll, toilet paper, dishwasher tablets, washing powder and other cleaning materials.
Local amenities
The village of Brodick is just 2 miles from Glen Rosa which has a number of restaurants, pubs and two supermarkets. The larger Co-operative supermarket at the ferry terminal is open from 7am till 10pm every day. The nearet pub/restaurant is 25 minutes walk from Gran's, just over a mile.

Ferries can be booked at www.calmac.co.uk and directions from the Brodick ferry terminal to Gran's Cottage are shown on the contact us page. At peak times of year, it is advisable to book the ferry in advance if you are bringing your car.
