How to find us

Exit from the Brodick ferry and turn right onto A841, the main street running through the centre of Brodick. Travel for a mile past the shops and school for about a mile. Just after the Heritage museum, where the road sharply bends to the right, exit left onto 'The String' road (signposted 'Blackwaterfoot'). Immediately take the 2nd on the right which is signposted 'Cart track Glen Rosa'.  Travel along this single track road (which is tarred and in good order) for about a mile and Gran's Cottage is the last house on the right before the road ends and the footpath track up the Glen starts.

If you do not have a car, you can take the Blackwaterfoot bus from the Brodick ferry terminal to the start of the String Road and then walk the final mile to the cottage as above.  A taxi from the ferry terminal to the cottage will cost approximately £5.
